About

Ali Ün’s introduction to working life goes back to a very early age. In his pre-school years, spending time alongside his grandfather Namık Kemal Erdem at his coffee house, he began to observe how people work, the culture of small tradespeople, customer relationships and the place of labour in everyday life.

From childhood, his curiosity for exploring and making things came together with an interest in technology, computers and space. Alongside his schooling he gained work experience in different sectors, caring about growing not only technically but by understanding the real needs of work in the field.

In his high-school years he moved software beyond something merely to be learned and began using it to solve real problems. He developed computer programs that made the daily work of small tradespeople and businesses easier, organised their records and sped up their operations, and brought them into use at those businesses. In this way he stepped into the professional software world before university, by trying to solve real users’ needs.

Before starting university he began working at a corporate software company, gaining experience in professional development processes, client projects, the software life cycle and teamwork. During his university years he continued his education while remaining active in the industry.

After completing his studies in computing at Piri Reis University, he continued to work at the same institution for many years. During this period he worked on a large number of digital projects of different scales, gaining experience not only in software development but in needs analysis, project planning, client communication, technical decision-making and sustainable system development.

In time, in order to bring his own projects to life, to produce freer solutions to the real problems encountered across different sectors and to create value through technology, he founded COSMOKOD.

Today at COSMOKOD he works mainly on project management, product development processes and the coordination between technical teams and clients. From corporate web platforms to mobile apps, from business management systems to SaaS products and IoT-based projects, he helps work in these areas progress from needs analysis to launch and the development that follows.

His basic approach in projects is to turn technology into simple, reliable and sustainable systems that genuinely make life easier for people and businesses, rather than making it look as complicated as possible.

Aware that the software world is constantly changing, he keeps learning, researching and exploring different disciplines. Alongside technical growth, he continues to work on business management, product development, user experience and what new technologies mean in real life.
